Dr. Alex Fong graduated from the University of Alberta's Faculty of Dentistry, and completed a Hospital Dental Residency at the University of Saskatchewan. He strives to ensure that his patients are comfortable and informed. Dr. Fong cherishes the relationships he made in his 30+ years of serving his hometown community. In his free time, Dr. Fong enjoys spending time travelling, and food-tasting with his family, as well as playing recreational hockey and pickleball. Dr. Fong speaks English and Cantonese.

Dr. Bernie Kan is a graduate from the dentistry program at the University of Alberta, born and raised in Edmonton. He is caring and patient to listen to each of his patients' concerns and work together with them to achieve personalized oral health goals. Dr. Kan enjoys exploring all the new (and old!) restaurants in the city with his family. Dr. Kan speaks English and Cantonese.

Lillian graduated from the University of Alberta and has completed her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She is hardworking, sociable and passionate about educating her patients on oral hygiene. Lillian aims to make every appointment informative and comfortable. Outside of the dental clinic you can often find her on the volleyball courts or catching up on Netflix shows at home. Lillian is excited to be a part of the HVDC team and make a difference in her patients’ oral health! Lillian speaks English and Cantonese.

Stephanie received her Dental Hygiene Diploma from Oulton College in Moncton, New Brunswick. Originally from Nova Scotia, she is as friendly as can be! She is joyful and gentle in her dental service, providing thorough care to patients to help improve both their oral health and overall health. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Stephanie is fluent in English and French. (Currently on maternity leave!)

Hannah began her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2019 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alberta. She brings a wonderful blend of knowledge, gentleness, and unmatched patience to every appointment. Her sweet nature and genuine care help patients feel at ease the moment they meet her. Outside the clinic, Hannah loves spending time with her grandmother and hiking summits all across Alberta. She speaks both English and Vietnamese.

Elle graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and later completed the Dental Hygiene Advanced Diploma at George Brown College. Her strengths include thoughtfulness, attentive listening, and a calm, steady approach that helps patients feel comfortable throughout their visit. Outside of work, Elle enjoys expressing her creativity through piano and violin and cherishes time spent with family and friends. She speaks both English and Korean.

Sarah has been a registered dental assistant for over 15 years and has served Heritage Village Dental Clinic since 2008. Sarah’s compassion is foundational in her dedication towards building trustworthy relationships with our patients. If she’s not asking about your day, she is probably staying active outdoors, skiing or travelling with her family. Sarah speaks English.

Melanie has served our community as a registered dental assistant for over 20 years and has been with Heritage Village Dental Clinic since 2005. She elevates any space she is in with her uplifting humour and big heart. Helping people stay confident and content with their dental health is the best part of her job. After work, she enjoys spending time watching her sons play hockey. Melanie speaks English and assists Dr. Fong.

Jaclyn has been a registered dental assistant at Heritage Village Dental Clinic for 25 years. She models gentleness and humility in her dental assistance, always prepared to help our patients understand and implement their dental plans. When she’s not at the office, you might find her camping with her family or on a lakeside stroll. Jaclyn speaks English and assists Dr. Fong.

Selina graduated from Dental Assisting at NAIT in 2007. She has been serving as a registered dental assistant for over 10 years. Her creative and friendly spirit shines in her admirable work. Selina enjoys reading books, camping in the mountains, and is dexterous to make lovely crafted goods. Selina speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese. She assists Dr. Kan.

Cassandra has spent over 15 years working in the dental field as a registered dental assistant and receptionist. She is outgoing and bubbly with a contagious energy that welcomes everyone she meets. Cassandra is always ready to recommend delicious recipes, innovative beverages, inspiring activities, and more! Cassandra speaks English.

Paige joined the team in 2024 after receiving her diploma. Paige will be heading off to complete her dental hygiene certification at the Canadore College in North Bay, Ontario later this year (woohoo!). Paige is a hardworking team player that makes sure to look out for patients and fellow staff members everyday. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new foods and coaching figure skating. Paige speaks English.

Teressa joined the HVDC team in 2018, bringing with her over a decade of experience in leadership and design. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta, School of Business, specializing in HR and marketing. Teressa enjoys helping patients feel comfortable with their dental visit with cheerful conversation and friendly questions. Outside of work, she is a realtor and photographer. Teressa speaks English, Mandarin and Korean.

Tiffany worked as a receptionist at HVDC while getting her education degree from the University of Alberta. Since then, she has taught in Edmonton Public Schools and become a mother to 4 children. Tiffany likes to keep patients informed and educated of what is covered under their dental benefits. When she is not in the office, she is busy with her children but likes to find time to bake, workout, go boating and cheer on the Oilers. Tiffany speaks English and Spanish.

Andrea earned her dental degree from the Italian University Institute of Rosario in 2018. She came to Canada later on, bringing strong clinical knowledge and a charming sense of humour. She has served the dental field ever since and became a valued part of our HVDC team in 2025. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys baking, skiing, and spending time with her beloved Pit Bull Terrier, Junior. Andrea speaks English and Spanish.

Xhoana is a graduate from the dentistry program at Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. Xhoana lived in Italy for over 20 years before moving to Canada at the end of 2020. She is currently enrolled in the Canadian equivalency process to receive her dental license. Outside of work she enjoys exploring the city with her family and looking for good espresso coffee shops. Xhoana speaks English, Italian and Albanian. (Currently on maternity leave!)
